Avital Ingber has spent the last decade building community and enhancing Jewish life in Greater Washington. She is the chief development officer for the Financial Resource Development Department and managing director of the United Jewish Endowment Fund at The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington. She oversees the strategy and procurement of all philanthropic resources for the organization. Avital also serves as a philanthropic advisor to families engaging multiple generations in their philanthropic decisions. She has been certified as a multi-generational family philanthropy advisor and trainer through 2/64, nationally recognized family philanthropy experts.
Prior to this role, Avital served as the managing director of Financial Resource Development , where she spent two years building Federation’s Network, a place for business and civic leaders to connect to Federation. Previously, as director of Young Leadership at the Federation, Avital spent four years creating cutting-edge and nationally replicated programming and engagement tools for Jewish young adults. She partnered with Birthright Israel NEXT DC to develop initiatives for the nearly 18,000 alumni in the DC area. She has a love for Israel and has brought more than 600 people on trips to Israel throughout the last ten years. Before she joined Federation, Avital worked for a communications firm doing marketing and corporate partnerships for non-profits and foundations.
Avital received her Executive Masters in Leadership from the Georgetown School of Business and her B.A. from the Kogod School of Business at American University. Avital lives in the heart of Washington, DC and loves to travel, visiting at least one new country every single year.
