Dr. Dalia Shoretz Nagel is president of the Board of Directors of Sharsheret, a national not-for-profit organization that helps support young Jewish women in their fight against breast and ovarian cancer. Her sister, Rochelle Shoretz A"H, founded this organization after being diagnosed with breast cancer at the young age of 28. Dr. Nagel has been involved in Sharsheret from its very beginnings, as a member of the Board when Sharsheret was founded in 2001, an active volunteer, and a Team Sharsheret athlete, and she was recently appointed President of the Board of Directors in January 2016. Dr. Nagel graduated from Barnard College, Columbia University, summa cum laude, and received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School. She completed her residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital, and now practices comprehensive ophthalmology on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. She is also a Clinical Instructor at Mount Sinai, where she is active in teaching residents and students.
