Karra Greenberg is a doctoral candidate in Sociology at the University of California, Los Angeles. Her current research focuses on analyzing the influence of government policies on demographics and health. Involved with Jewish causes and volunteerism since an early age, she co-founded and co-chairs the University of California-wide student activist group, “Informed Grads.” Informed Grads recently won a hard-fought victory against the first attempted BDS position to be taken by an American labor union and continues to lead counter-BDS campaigns with a focus on academic freedom and non-discriminatory policies. Karra hopes her volunteer work will help the Jewish community confront the challenges it is facing.
