Rabbi Rachel Bat-Or, MFT, has been a spiritual leader, therapist, and educator for over 35 years. She is currently the Director of the JQ International Helpline, which offers resources and support for LGBTQ Jews and their allies. She responds to daily calls and emails from throughout the United States, as well as from Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. She trains and supervises volunteers to answer calls and find the most appropriate LGBTQ inclusive resources for callers. Since 2014 she has presented 45 LGBTQ Inclusion Trainings to over 30 organizations in the Los Angeles area. Before joining JQ International, Rabbi Bat-Or served congregations in Berkeley and Tustin, CA, and Macon, GA. She has been published in the Journal of the Central Conference of American Rabbis. As a Marriage and Family Therapist Rabbi Bat-Or created and taught the Seven Steps to Healing® model which emerged from her work with people recovering from trauma.
