Michael Godin was born in Chelyabinsk, Russia before moving to Cologne, Germany where he spent most of his childhood years. For seven years, Michael lived in China where he was the founding member of the Shanghai Moishe House. Creating a home away from home for many of the 1,500 young Jewish adults in Shanghai, Michael and his two roommates organized speaker series, cooking nights, walking tours as well as social and religious gatherings. Michael speaks eight languages and is able to make his home welcoming to anyone. 

Michael works in real estate. He also loves to travel, enjoys salsa dancing and is a passionate sports fan. Michael is happily married to his wife Ally, whom he met at a Moishe House conference in Boston, MA.
