Amy Berger Chafetz is involved in many volunteer activities in the Jewish philanthropic world. She is a Miami representative to the JFNA Delegates Assembly. Amy is past chair of the JFNA Legal Committee and a member of the Board of Directors. She is a member of JFNA's aging and family caregiving committee and serves on the National Agency Alliance steering committee. She was a vice chair of education and leadership development and, vice chair of marketing and communications for National Young Leadership Cabinet.
Amy is a member of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation's Board of Directors and on the executive board of Women's Philanthropy. She chaired the 2014 Community Demographic and Population Study as well as Women's Day. Currently, Amy co-chairs the agency support committee of the planning and distribution committee. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Center for the Advancement of Jewish Education and the MAR Jewish Community Center. She is a past Board member and current Advisory Board member of Cornell Hillel. She is a recipient of the Stanley C. Meyers Presidents' Leadership Award. Amy is a graduate of Cornell University and the University of San Diego School of Law.
