Mia Appelbaum is a senior at New York University earning a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. She currently serves as the President Emeritus of NYU’s Muslim-Jewish interfaith dialogue club, which has been the cornerstone of her leadership on campus since her freshman year. Mia also served on the executive board of NYU’s pro-Israel political organization which works in collaboration with the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). In 2013, Mia was awarded the university’s Presidential Service Award for her contributions to interfaith work on campus as well as AIPAC’s Student Activist of the Year Award at its annual Policy Conference.
Outside of NYU, Mia has interned in the United States Senate for Senator Kirsten Gillibrand as well as at the Clinton Foundation in New York City. As she prepares for her college graduation, Mia looks forward to witnessing her liberal arts background in analytical thinking vindicated in her professional career.
