A Lion of Judah since 2005, Harriet J. Dobin has served as director of the Mandell JCC Hartford Jewish Film Festival since 2009 and managed the festival's press for five years prior to her appointment. While serving as marketing consultant for the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford, Harriet staffed the 2005 March of the Living Mission and the 2008 Israel@60 Mission, and co-chaired the 2006 Operation Promise UJC Marketing Directors Mission to Odessa and Israel. She reported from the 2006 UJC Solidarity Mission to Israel during the Second Lebanon War. Harriet's communications experience includes management positions in television, advertising, print media and event management. She and her husband Dr. Nathan Fischer are the parents of four married children and grandparents of six.
