Senior Vice President, Jewish Council for Public Affairs

Martin J. Raffel is senior vice president at the Jewish Council for Public Affairs (JCPA). He is a resource on Israel and other international issues for 14 national member agencies and 125 local Jewish communities. In 2010, he was named project director of the Israel Action Network, a major initiative of The Jewish Federations of North America in partnership with the JCPA to combat the assault on Israel's legitimacy.

Martin was admitted to the Israel and Pennsylvania Bar Associations. He received his law degree from the Hebrew University School of Law and a BA in Political Science from Franklin & Marshall College. He has written articles and op-ed pieces on Israel related issues, and prepared a chapter on the history of Israel advocacy in the organized American Jewish community as part of the book Jewish Polity and American Civil Society, published in 2002.
