Yohanna Arbib was born and raised in Rome. After obtaining a degree in business administration, she began a career in international business and finance. She is currently senior advisor to a London-based international real estate private equity fund, Patron Capital Ltd..
Yohanna’s Jewish activism and involvement in the local Keren Hayesod campaign started in 1985 when she was only 16. Four years later, she founded Rome's Young Leadership. In 1999, following in her father’s footsteps, she became chair of Keren Hayesod Rome. In 2007, she was elected to the Jewish Agency Board of Governors. She became a member of the KH World Executive in 2008, and the following year she was elected chair of the organization's World Board of Trustees, the youngest person ever to hold KH's top leadership position.
Yohanna visits Keren Hayesod campaigns around the world, bringing a message of unity and strength and emphasizing the mutual responsibility of the Jewish people. She often addresses Keren Hayesod fundraising events with international leaders such as Bill Clinton, Jose Maria Aznar, and Bernard Henri Levy. She is member of the steering committee of and a speaker at the prestigious Israeli Presidential Conference, Facing Tomorrow, under the auspices of President Shimon Peres. Yohanna and her husband, orthopedic surgeon, Prof. Dario Perugia, have three daughters: Rebecca, 12, Noa Rakel 11 , and Yasmina Leah, 9.
